Global Citizenship Education Champions Project (Coming Soon)

This will involve selecting 10 young people between the age of 15 – 26, who will go through three days intensive trainings on Global Citizenship, Design Thinking and Sustainable Development Goals. At the end they will participate in skill2rural challenge where they will teach Global Citizenship skills to at least 50 secondary school students in rural communities. This is in a bid to equip rural students with skills to solve global challenges.

10 Days Rural Education Campaign

This uses the power of young people and social media to share powerful quotes and stories that allows Government, Civil Society Organizations and Private Individuals to Prioritize the Education of the Rural Children. These voices are spread using the hashtag #PrioritizingRuralEducation and will last for 10 days. Also, for the 10 days we will also wear and display on social media our shirt of #PrioritizingRuralEducation.

Skill2Rural Bootcamp

Skill2Rural Bootcamp is 2-5 days intensive programme where we partner with civil society organizations to orientate, empower and support children in rural communities with 21st century skill training such as empathy, servant leadership, emotional intelligence, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration etc. needed to integrate into the workforce and prepare them for the future of works. Students, teachers, youth educators and volunteer through the Bootcamp work in groups to co- create prototypes and innovative solutions to problems they are facing within their communities using design thinking. They also go through series of lectures on specific topics such as vision boarding, money management, servant leadership, philosophy and value system, sustainability, emotional intelligence, entrepreneurship and computer appreciation. Project LECT (Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Character Training)

Project LECT is a mobile career and mentorship symposia that expose students in under-served communities to stories of people who have been able to change their circumstances and also counsel them based on their area of interest and strength. They also get to learn how to be active global citizens and solve problems within their communities. They go through several activity based task to learn empathy, critical thinking creativity etc. These are the skills needed to solve global challenges and for the workforce. Children who are at risk in school also have access to one-on-one mentoring or coaching. Project LECT leverages partnership with volunteers, individuals, civil society organizations and private and public secondary schools.
